“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3 KJV
THE TREE’S PURPOSE
“That bringeth forth his fruit in his season.”
The purpose of the tree is to produce fruit.
The purpose of a Christian is to produce fruit.
God wants us to have fruit in our lives.
I think a lot of times, when we hear about a Christian producing fruit, we automatically think of leading people to Christ.
I believe there is more to it than just that. Yes, winning the lost is an important fruit but I believe that there is fruit that needs to be produced personally and throughout your immediate family.
Personally, we need to have the fruit of the Spirit evident in our daily lives.
Love
Joy
Peace
Longsuffering
Gentleness
Goodness
Faith
Meekness
Temperance
These need to be the fruit that we produce every single day.
When you are producing the fruit of the Spirit in your life, the fruits of winning souls will also start growing.
Another interesting thing I see in this phrase is that it says “in his season.”
We have to have a season of growing before we can have a season of producing.
Our seasons will all be different, but we should always be growing and producing in our own season.
