Life is tough.
Life is hard.
Sometimes it’s hard to smile.
Sometimes it’s hard to find happiness.
Sometimes life weighs you down to the point of brokenness and tears.
But….
….where is thy trust?
….where is thy comfort?
….where is thy love?
Our trust should be in the Lord.
Our comfort should be found in the Lord.
We say we love the Lord.
So why don’t you have joy?
In life, our emotions are most of the time directed by our circumstances. If everything is going good for us, we are happy. If life is rough, everything seems hard, we get sad or angry or depressed.
Let Christ control your emotions and you will have true joy in Him.
I trust the Lord, no matter what happens in life, so I’ll have joy.
I find comfort in the Lord, no matter how rough life gets, so I’ll have joy.
I love the Lord, so I’ll have joy.
