“Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, Give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips. I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: Incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.” Psalm 17:1, 6 KJV
These verses stood out to me because the psalmist is praying, but he is asking the Lord to hear him before he asks anything else.
I don’t know if I have ever asked the Lord to listen to me. I know He does but I feel like there is a greater sense of urgency when asking God to hear your cry.
We should pray. We know that. But do we ask God to hear our prayers? I know that I’m trying to pray more. I’m trying to be in attitude of prayer throughout the day. I want God to hear my prayers. I’m going to start asking God to hear my prayers.
