“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 KJV
The last few days, I have been convicted and burdened about being a better witness for Christ.
I have a story, I have a testimony of salvation that I need to tell others. I need to let those around me know what Jesus Christ did for me.
I remember that evening in November of 2016 that I accepted Christ as my Saviour. I realized I was a sinner, I realized I needed a Saviour and I called upon Jesus to save me. It’s that simple! I know I am saved.
Christ’s last command to His disciples was to go and preach the Gospel to every creature. Here in Acts 1:8, He tells them that they will receive power to go and be the witness they need to be.
God has empowered everyone that is saved to go and tell someone else about salvation. What are you doing with that power? Are you letting it sit silent and dormant in your life? Get up and go tell someone about Jesus!
With that power, I believe He gives us wisdom and boldness. Someone out there needs to hear YOUR story!
