“Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.” Psalms 148:3
How mind boggling to contemplate the sun, the moon, the stars, our entire universe hanging in plain air- no strings attached!
Each heavenly body has its own path, its own surrounding atmosphere, its own characteristics, yet not one string! God hung each heavenly body in its own specific place by His own strength.
We do not fear that a planet will fall on us or that the sun will float away out of our atmosphere into a far away universe. We enjoy those evening stars as they twinkle at us all the while knowing that they may move or shift yet still remain in God’s atmosphere.
Then I think of our great God and my salvation- a salvation of no strings attached. This salvation was freely given to me while I was yet a sinner. I did not have to earn or work for this gift. God sent, He gave, His Son for my sins! All I had to do wasrealize and admit that I was a sinner unworthy of His sacrifice. Then I repented and accepted His gift of love; the gift that absolutely no other could offer or pay for. The gift was the Blood of His Son.
Just like there are no strings attached for the lights of the sky, there are no strings attached for salvation.
No strings attached stars held in place by the very hand of God; no strings attached salvation paid for by the very Son of God. I can never lose my salvation or the closeness of the Lord as Jesus only died once on the cross. No matter what I do, whether good or bad, I cannot lose His saving grace. It truly is a no strings attached salvation!
Let’s remember to thank God for the price He paid for our “no strings attached” salvation! We truly are blessed!
