Something that has always fascinated me is the different mentalities that people when faced with trials and hard times in life.
We all have different personalities and perspectives. We have different opinions and quirks. Even though we are created in the image of God, He created us all differently….which that in itself is crazy to think about.
Because we are different, each individual faces life differently. We all go through different hard times and trials, we all go through loss, we all face battles….its what we do in and after those situations that defines us.
As I have made it a goal to post every day this year on the blog, I am looking for things to post outside of my own writing also. I have used some of my mom’s devotional writings this month and will use more in the future.
I am going to finish out this month with a five-day devotional on the topic of “Biblical Principles to Help Overcome PTSD.” The interesting thing about this is, it is AI-generated from ChatGPT. I thought it would be interesting to see what AI would recommend from the Bible. What it came up with is actually pretty good and needed in everyone’s everyday living.
PTSD is always a sensitive and serious topic, and it may be something that you can never get rid of. But I do believe that the Bible has the answer for everything and the closer we draw to Christ, the stronger Christian we will be.
I like what it says in Philippians 3:13-14, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
As a Christian, we have to learn to forget what has happened in the past and reach for the things before. We have to press on, we have to go forward. We have a high calling in Christ and if we focus on our past, we will never fulfill what God has for us.
I hope and pray that the next few days will help at least one person in overcoming their past to accomplish something great for Christ!
