And God Remembered

“And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;” (Genesis 8:1)

The beginning phrase of this verse has been playing in my mind for a few weeks now.

And God remembered Noah.

Think about it, God destroyed the earth. He destroyed mankind. Before He did this though, He commanded Noah to build an ark because a flood was coming.

Noah didn’t know what an ark was.

Noah didn’t know what a flood was.

What Noah was doing at this time was living a life no one else was. He was living a life that found grace in the eyes of God. While everyone was living wickedly, Noah was living righteously in a wicked world.

God used Noah to save mankind. But Noah had to go through a flood that he didn’t have no part in bringing upon earth. Noah had to go through a storm someone else caused.

But when the rain stopped, we see “And God remembered Noah.”

God remembered Noah in the storm. He didn’t let Noah go through it alone and without help.

God gives us a blueprint for every storm we go through. Whether we caused the storm or not. God tells us to follow Him and He will lead you through.

During the storm, don’t quit, don’t give up hope, keep going. When it seems no one else remembers you, God does. When it seems you’re alone, God is there.

God remembers you in your storms Trust Him. Lean on Him. Find peace and comfort in knowing that God is greater than anything you will ever go through and God will remember you!
