We all know that the Great Solar Eclipse is right around the corner. It is supposed to sweep across the entire length of America. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most to see something like this.
Many people are talking about this great event and something that I have heard come up multiple times is that this is when Jesus will return.
The return of Christ has always been an interesting topic. There is always someone trying to predict the day of the Lord’s return. There is always someone who knows exactly when the Rapture will happen. Just the other week I had an article sent to me saying that Jesus was going to come back on September 23, 2017. I found this article quite fascinating as the writer used science, history, culture, and scripture to back his statements. I still believe that no man can know exactly when the Lord will return, so I don’t put much stock into man’s predictions.
As I read through the article it made me think about Christ’s Return. It made me ask myself if I am ready for the Rapture. I know I am saved without a shadow of a doubt. I know I am ready for the Lord’s return from the salvation aspect.
The convicting thought I had was am I ready for the Lord’s return from a servant’s aspect. Have I done all that I can to tell others about the Gospel. Have I done all that I can to serve the Lord. If we are honest with ourselves, the answer is probably no. We all know, I know, where I fail the Lord and should be a better Christian, a better servant.
The question today is, Are you ready?
Are you ready spiritually? Have you accepted Christ as your Saviour?
Are you ready as servant of Jesus Christ? Will He be able to tell you, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”
