As I was sitting in church last night, we turned to a passage of Scripture and a verse on the opposite page caught my eye. It made me think about my goals for the year and what this verse means to those goals.
“Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” Psalms 78:41
This verse and rest of the psalm are talking about the Israelites in the wilderness and how at certain times the limited God by the lack of faith and unbelief. Even though the Israelites limited God, He still provided and took care of them.
When it comes to achieving your goals for this year, DON’T LIMIT WHAT GOD CAN DO FOR YOU. God wants to do something great in your life, but I believe that too many times we limit Him by our faith and unbelief. We set boundaries on God’s blessings. We set walls up to keep God confined in. When really, God wants to go above and beyond what we ask or think and do something great in us and with us.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me.” Philippians 4:13
I also like this verse when it comes to achieving my goals for the year. DON’T LIMIT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR GOD. You can do great things for God, you can achieve your goals for the year if you do them in His power and through His strength. We don’t have to face life alone or problems on our own, He is there for us. He is always there for us, so ask Him to help you to achieve your goals this year.
