Don’t expect God to use you if you aren’t using what He has given to you, His Word.
We want God to do something great with us but the only time we pick up the Bible is when we go to church. It sits on our shelf or our table, doesn’t move at all during the week except for Sunday morning. We use it for a couple of hours that morning and then it ends up back on the shelf or table or wherever you put it down at.
It is like if you take an instruction manual for something you are building and only look at it once a week….how long will it take you to build. Would you try to finish it all at once because you sort of have an idea of how it goes or will you just build it over time. The Bible is our instruction manual in life, it tells us to build our life and live our life. It tells where we should go and what we should do…but we only look at it once, maybe twice a week.
We are to be mighty in the work of the Lord, but we can’t fulfill what He has for us and what He wants to do with us if we aren’t in His Word.
If God used you as much as you used your Bible, how much would you be used?
