“Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men.” Psalm 12:1 KJV
The psalmist cried out to the Lord for help! Why? Because the godly man and the faithful man were becoming scarce among the people.
We also can ask for help from the Lord for the same thing. Godly men and women are becoming harder and harder to find.
Each one of us needs to do our best to make sure that we are walking with God, so that we aren’t counted in that number of those who falling away.
But more than that, we need to daily cry “Help, Lord!”
We cannot make it on our own. We cannot survive this world on our own! We need the Lord.
Ask for help from the Lord in every area of your life.
Too often, we as Christians, fail to ask for help in our daily lives. Sure, we call out to God when times are tough and we feel like we aren’t going to make it. But how often do you say, “Help, Lord,” when you are working your job or parenting your kids or at the grocery store?
Make it a habit to ask for help from the Lord daily, and learn to rely on Him for the simple things as well as the major things.
