Chapter 17: A Merry Heart
Just a quick thought today from a pretty famous verse out of this chapter. In verse 22 it says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” The Lord tells us that a merry heart is like a medicine. Having a joyful spirit will go a long ways in helping the physical health. The word merry means “cheerful and lively.” God wants us to have a cheerful heart, a lively heart. Having a merry heart will not only help you but those around you. They say that a smile is contagious. Be happy wherever you go. Don’t let the trials and problems of life get you down!
