Stand Still

“And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on,) but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the Word of God.” I Samuel 9:27

If you continue reading into the next chapter (I Samuel 10), you will see that Samuel was telling Saul where he should go and what he should do. He was telling him exactly what was going to happen in his life.

But it came after Saul stood still!

We need to stop and stand still sometimes to let God direct us in the direction that we should go. Too often we miss where we should be, because we are too busy to listen to what God has for us.

In the busyness of life, take a moment everyday to stand still, to talk to God, to read His Word. Take a moment to stand still and find your direction for the day.
