We heard a great message the other night on things to add to your walk with God. These things were all biblical points taken straight from the Bible itself.
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
Ephesians 5:19-21
From these verses we see the points that Paul shares:
- Speak to yourself a psalm.
- Speak to yourself a hymn.
- Speak to yourself a spiritual song.
- Give thanks.
- Submit to one another.
If we can add these steps to our Bible reading and prayer life, our walk and relationship with God will grow immensely.
Music plays an important part in our lives. Music can guide our soul and emotions. It is imperative that we listen to good, godly music in our daily lives!
What are you listening to, today?
My favorite gospel song of all time is “I Stand Redeemed.” What is yours?
