Turn Your Light On

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16)

I have been thinking lately about what my testimony is to those around me. Not my salvation testimony, my life testimony. When people think of people, do they think of someone who loves Christ? When people see me, do they see Christ? Does my life point others to Christ?

I’m still working on a few blogs for Be Strong and Of Good Courage series but I wanted to share a quick thought from the verses above.

Let me ask you, Christian, is your light on? Are you showing others your good works so that they may see Christ?

Turn your light on!

Too often we go through life and are partaking in the things of this world. Too often our light is hidden by a bushel of sin. We need to stop and ask ourselves, can the people I interact with everyday, see Christ in me.

Turn your light on!
