Pathway Through Proverbs: Chapter 24

Chapter 24: Strength

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10

As a guy, I don’t want anyone thinking that I’m weak. I know I’m not strong physically, just ask people who have lifted weights with me, I hate lifting weights! But I do want to be known as a strong man. Not necessarily strong in physicality but in character. I want to be strong in standing for right, strong in not quitting.
God wants strong Christians. He want Christians who will stand when time gets tough! He wants Christians who will give their all no matter what happens
So the thing about being strong is that you don’t just wake up one morning with all this strength. You have to exercise and work out and eat right and be diligent at it to become strong. You won’t be a strong Christian if you don’t work out spiritually, reading your Bible and praying. You won’t be strong if your not exercising spiritually, trusting God and doing what He commands is to do in His Word.
Don’t be a Christian who faints in the day of adversity! Be one who is able to stand and fight!
Don’t be a Christian of small strength!
