Yesterday I talked about Compromising Christianity. Today I want to talk about Constant Christianity.
Constant: occurring continuously over a period of time, remaining the same over a period of time, (of a person) unchangingly faithful and dependable.
When I think of constant, I think of faithful. The Bible tells us “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” I Corinthians 4:2 We need to be constant Christians, we need to be faithful Christians. God is looking for a constant Christian, the world is also looking to see who isn’t being a constant Christian.
Too many Christians try to play on both sides of the fence when it comes to Christianity. We will do it God’s way on Sunday and than the rest of the week we will live like the world, talk like the world and act like the world. That type of Christian life is no where close to being constant, to being a faithful Christian.
Do people know that you are a Christian when you are away from church? Do your co-workers know that you are a Christian? Do your neighbors know that you are a Christian? We should live such a constant, consistent Christian life that the people around us and that we associate with on a daily basis should know that there is something different about us. Different in that we don’t act like the world, talk like the world, or even live like the world.
Be constant in your Christian life!
