The other day at work, we had a power outage. During that time one of the sections in our building was useless, we could do no work over there. Without power all our equipment was useless. We had the equipment to do the job that needed to be done, but what good would it be for us to work in the dark? We needed power to do and complete our job.
So many Christians live a powerless life. We have the Holy Spirit there to give us power yet we don’t use Him. We try to do everything in our own power. Our own power isn’t that strong or that sufficient.
We are useless as Christians without the power of God. We can do things on our own, but you put the power of God in it and you will have far greater results. God has given us all the tools we need to do great things for Him, many of us forget to tap into His power to do them.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Acts 1:8 is an awesome verse!
