This morning in our church soul winning visitation meeting, we had a testimony time. The testimonies ranged from what God has done, how the person was saved, how they were able to lead other people to the Lord, and how they have been blessed. It was a blessing to me to be able to hear these different testimonies from people in my church family.

One of the last testimonies given, was about how a man grew up watching his neighbors faithfully go to church and because of that, he started attending church and now he is raising his own family in church.
As I was listening to this testimony, I thought of Hebrews 12:1, “Where seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses…” Growing up, I have heard that this is the people who have passed and are now in Heaven, looking down on us. But, we are surrounded by people who are witnessing everything we do.
These people who witness what we do include both the saved and unsaved. Just like the lost people we associate with on a daily basis is watching what we do, so do the Christians that we interact with.
When I went home to Colorado this past September, I went to Saturday visitation with my dad at the church I grew up in. I was able to see a couple people that had an influence in my life that I haven’t seen in years, and I was blessed to see that they were still faithful to serving God. What surprised me was when I saw the joy on their faces when I walked in and they saw that I was still in church, serving God. It was then that I realized, I can be a blessing to those that have influenced me by still being in church serving God.
No matter where you are at in life, someone is watching you. It may be people who have helped you along the way, it may be your neighbor or your co-worker, it may be a fellow church member, someone is always watching you! Be a good testimony to your fellow man. Be a good testimony for God.
