This website and any other material I put out will only use the King James Bible. Today I just want to write about what I use and why. I didn’t use a lot of verses to back up my reasoning but I can if I need to. After you read through this today, I would love to hear what you use and why!
I believe that the King James Bible is the pure, perfect, preserved Word of God. I am not ashamed to use or believe in the King James Bible. I grew up in a home that only used a King James Bible. I went to a school that used the King James Bible as its main textbook. I went to a church that preached and believed in the King James Bible. I got to a point in my life where I had to make the beliefs of my parents, my teachers, and my preacher my own beliefs. My belief and stand for the King James Bible is not based on any other person or institution. I have done my own study and came to a conclusion that the King James Bible is the pure and perfect Word of God.
Today, i just want to make you think about why do you use the version you use. Is it easier to read? Does it fit your lifestyle? Is it a clearer translation? Why do you use what you use?
If i used another translation, another version that a man wrote, here is why i would use it.
- To not feel convicted.
- To make my sin feel less like sin and more like it is a lifestyle choice.
- To not have the power of God on and in my life.
If you have ever studied the history of the King James Bible and how it came to be, you would see that throughout history men and women and children have given their lives for their belief in the King James Bible. Many Christians were martyred through the Dark Ages for their belief in the Word of God and in the belief that baptism comes after salvation not at birth. The Catholics were scared of the Word of God so much that they tried to wipe out all Christians and destroy every copy of the Word of God that they could. But God did not allow that and that is why we have the King James Bible today as God preserved it throughout all generations for us.
The other week someone told me that they use the NIV (New International Version) because it is a clearer translation. My biggest issue with the NIV is that they take out Acts 8:37. In the KJB this verse states, “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” The NIV takes out the reference that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If the NIV doesn’t believe that, than who do they believe is the Son of God. Who is Jesus Christ in the NIV? The NIV doesn’t even try to hide the fact they removed a verse, the numbering goes 36, 38; it totally skips 37. It sound like my two year old was doing the numbering when they released the NIV.
- They say it is a clearer translation, but without Christ, the Light of the World, it is a dark translation.
- They say it is a clearer translation, but without Christ, the Way, it is lost translation.
- They say it is a clearer translation, but without Christ, the Truth, it is a lying translation.
- They say it is a clearer translation, but without Christ, the Life, it is a dead translation.
- They say it is a clearer translation, but without Christ, the Healer, it is a diseased translation.
- They say it is a clearer translation, but without Christ, it has no power, no hope, no life.
I am willing to live and die for the King James Bible. If the time comes that we are persecuted for being a Christian and for using the King James Bible, I pray that I will stand strong to what I believe and not turn my back of Jesus Christ or His Word.
Why do you use, what you use? Ask yourself that question today? I use the King James Bible, not because it makes me feel good or because it is easy to read, I use the King James Bible because I believe that it is the inspired Word of God. I use the King James Bible because it tells me that I am a sinner. I use the King James Bible because it tells me I deserve to go to Hell for my sins. I use the King James Bible because it tells of Jesus Christ the Son of God who came to this earth, died on the cross, shed His blood and rose again on the third day for all of mankind’s sin. I use the the King James Bible because through its words I was convicted of being a sinner and realized I needed a Saviour. I use the King James Bible because it convicts me of sin when I do wrong. I use the King James Bible because it makes a clear difference between right and wrong. I use the King James Bible because I know that the power of God is in it to change lives. And because of all this and more, I am unashamed to use the King James Bible. I am willing to take a stand for the King James Bible.
I know I didn’t get into all the doctrine of the King James Bible or even into in depth history of it. I was just throwing out some of what I think is common sense.
Why do you use, what you use? I would love to hear your reason or the doctrine behind what you believe. Feel free to leave a comment below!
Amen!
